account banned

That happened to me a while back when I was trying to access via my GP's open broadband. It was ok when I returned home to my own broadband.

As you know, you most definitely haven't aaront903 . . . . it is a problem that surfaces from time to time for Members who use their mobiles to browse the forum.

The devices roam to pick up the best Wi-Fi signal - which could be an IP address that either Proboards or ourselves have banned .

Normally once a user has moved to another location and acquired a different IP, then all is well again.

aaront903, Perpetua is right. If it happens again, can you make a note of the IPA so that I can try & find out if it is us that has banned it or Proboards.

ok,first time was when i was in 4g then 2nd time was talk talk (home wifi) but seems to be fine now,was wierd and for a second i thought .....what?....why? lol

I was just about to ask that very question, i had tried to log in whilst still running my VPN and it said my IP was banned 

all ok now once i logged out. Strange how a VPN affects it though, other sites seem fine ie POV, UKV

Depends what IP the VPN uses car147 . . . . some can be well used by spammers so Proboards or ourselves may have banned it.

car147 can you let me know the exact wording of the message you get as it will determine if the IP is on our ban list, or Proboards?

Chrissie It said the IP was banned, but strangely I am using the VPN now on my IPad and it's fine, just the Laptop seems to have the issue.

I'll try logging in on that and report back
