As long as your happy with your current mods etc, stay as you are. there's no hard and fast rule that says you need to upgrade. Folk reduce their nic intake when sub ohming simply because you cannot lung hit with your usual nic strength. It becomes too harsh.
I loved my wee spinner v2 back in the day, but once the likes of the Kanger Sub Tank came on the market i preferred the airy vape those type of tanks give you. Things are still moving pretty fast even now with the likes of the RBTA tanks that have been hitting the market recently, which are managing 60-80 100w easily.

Good to see you back posting again womble. It sounds like you feel you may be missing out but , then again, maybe you're not. I've got that feeling about dripping, tried it and I'm still trying it but as yet, haven't really discovered what all the fuss is about. If you've a set up that works for you then stick with it and vape on. More importantly; you've checked in with us again and we know you're ok. Wish another few would do the same, as we are a caring community here.

Hiya womble long time, no see! Lots of new gear on the scene, confusing even for me watching the lightning fast changes! I'm still swapping and changing vape gear just like Perps, so whatever works best is fine by me though I favour mtl style i'll give most things a try.. haha Hi Pepperty! Changes were happening fast 3 years ago when I was a part of the vaping community, now it feels like I'm a "forever young"(disclaimer, younger viewers may not understand this) vaper, returning to the fold But some of you guys have kept up with it, like you and perps and fairplay to you, you'll give most things a try, like you said. As I said to Mrs Womble No 7 and 8, if you'd only give most things a try, we wouldn't be in this mess. Mrs Womble (presumptive) No 9, has been informed, we await the outcome.

Keep trying with the Kraken womble Its a really good vape when you get it to work. Takes patience but its worth it in the end. Its not totally sub ohming these days although it does seem to be the new best thing. Although I have far too much new sub ohm setups when i really want to sit and chill out I find nothing comes close to my trusty old Kayfun lite plus or an Ithaca. Horses for courses and each has its place. I know erik, that's whats so annoying, I know it will be great when it works, I almost had it a couple of times. I suppose the bad thing thing is that when it works, I feel that it's so old in the timeline of vaping, I'll feel that something else is better out there. Too many different wicks to try, ecowool, Japanese cotton..... other stuff I haven't heard of, ceramic, did that take off?

Hi womble! I'm still Vaping a single coil Tank, at 1.2-1.9 oHm. My Nicotine content has decreased from 18mg to 14(ish) mg but this has been achieved by increasing the Wattage I vape at from 12w when I first started Vaping 3 years ago to between 20 and 24watts nowadays. There is no need to sub-ohm, or blow mahooosive clouds or have an airflow like the Mersey Tunnel unless you want to. I tried a sub tank when they first came out, and wasn't that impressed. I did however, buy a Dual 18650 Mod that is capable of 100w, but I like it for it's great Battery life. I do enjoy making my own coils, and don't fancy pre-mades. I used to smoke Rollies, so like a bit of faffing and messing with my Vape. I bought a Lemo RTA (Tank) a year or more ago, I now have 5 or 6 on the go and am quite content with them. I've just (when I get paid) treated myself to another, simple, effective, large RTA that was expensive when it was new, but within my Vape Budget for the last 2 months (I've been a good boy and not bought many Premium juice, or any new kit) asa it's second hand and so "Old Hat" as it came out over a year ago. If you fancy Sub-Ohming buy a simple, cheap single coil dripper and make a coil below 0.5 oHm and blow clouds Bro'. If you're happy with the current set up you have then try and replicate what you already are happy with. If I bought every "New, Improved, Massive Air Flow, Quad Coil, Juice Burner" Reviewers love this week then I'm fairly certain my life would improve, I'd lose 20years, 6" from my waistline and my sexlife would leave me exhausted. Probably

Probably Now that's what I'm talking about! Sign me up........... Oh... you say it may not happen, no quad coil, nor massive air flow and you can't improve your sex life, then why would I do it? The 6" from my waistline sounds good though, sign me up!

Is everyone using subohm tanks now? I have tried to work it out from forum postings, but it seems difficult to get a grip on. No, we're NOT all using sub-ohm stuff, tried it, didn't like it, and I'm still using Protanks/Aerotanks, mouth-to-lung inhales - none of this direct lung hit malarkey, doesn't do it for me on throat-hit or flavour... There's another side to this issue too - for every 3 or 4 "new improved" tanks that come out with a 5-pack of coilheads that go with them, that's the cost of another couple of litres of nic base for the freezer for the zombie apocalypse post-TPD era....... If what you use works for you, keep using it!! now I can go back and read the rest of the thread, I just had to reply to this one before I carried on

Hi womble from a fellow dinosaur. Reading forums you would think everyone sub ohms. In the real world the majority of vapers don't. In my town when I walk past the only vape shop it's usually has no customers but the cigalike stand in the Swan Centre usually has at least one customer. After the initial mad rush to try everything new I settled on iStick 30W with Nautilus Mini. Tried several sub ohm tanks & rebuildable tanks but didn't like them. Now use Kabuki tanks instead of the Nauty minis and it uses the same coils which I recoil. The clone I get from FT is as good as an original. I make juice for other vapers and only one has stayed with sub ohming. He used to have 2 18mg 30ml bottles a month. Now he has 3 3mg 30ml bottles every 10 days. Not completely cured from trying new stuff though. Recently got a Serpent Mini but only for the adjustable bottom pin as I have a 4Nine mod that I have never had a safe tank to use on it. Playing with it caused me to get other mech mods out of hibernation but I tend to just use them with a couple of Magma drippers for flavour testing. As many people advise if it works for you stick with it. Your bank balance will be healthier too. Shinyitus is the vaper's curse.

nice to see you still around too smifee Oooh another MTL dinosaur.
Still read the site most days but don't have anything to contribute to the majority of threads.
We have a card session every week with 6 players. 3 are MTL vapers and it gets pretty foggy. I don't think we could see the cards if we were all sub ohmers

I still favour a nice tight draw and I mouth to lung almost every tank I own? I turn down the airflow every time and for me its far more flavoursome, and when I do occasionally direct lung inhale I like a restricted draw.
I do cave in and try out maybe one in 8 new tanks on the market but there are swathes of brands/makes I haven't succumbed to because I'm fairly content with what I have. I also try to buy single coil rebuildable tanks as I cant be doing with too much faff on rebuilds and I don't like to build below 0.5 ohms as, to me, the trade off of low ohms and high power against battery life seems pointless.
I gave up following the 'latest and greatest' gear on the market years back - I just dip my toe in out of curiosity and just now and then I find something I love but its not a wild chase to buy and try everything. What you have at present works.... but its nice to experiment and see what else might appeal?
