Hi guys,
A while ago I bought 2 x 10ml bottles of menthol concentrate .... kept one in my concentrate rack for short term use and put the spare one in the freezer where I keep all of my concentrates which are not for immediate use.
This morning I took the spare from the freezer only to find that it had solidified ... much thicker than even frozen VG ... I couldn't even get a needle syringe into it without force!
I have left it for a couple of hours at room temperature and it now seems to be back to normal.
Is this usual for menthol concentrate and is it OK to use?

It probably crystalised rather than froze.

Menthol has a higher 'freezing' point than all your other concentrates, when I first started mixing I kept mine in the fridge, menthol was solid within a couple of hours, warm it up in your hands and it's fine. Mine has even crystalised on the floor of my office (concs were kept in a box), we get it cold down here

Is this usual for menthol concentrate and is it OK to use? Yes and yes . . . the same applies to a number of concentrates to a lesser extent when the temperature drops below a certain point and especially if you cool them in some way. Let them come up to a regular room temperature, shake and then they're good to use again.
