Looking for bit of advice really. Am just new to the vape scene and have started mixing my own this week . While the steeping process happens i'm looking to make the next step to a sub ohm mod, tank and a dripper. Perpetua has been a massive help along the way and she suggested i'd get good advice here. This is the Mod link This is the Tank link And unless someone can suggest another , this is the dripper. link My eyesight is probably just good enough to be able to rebuild this but do those little coils come made that shape and can you buy them in bags of 10 or something? How long do they last? Is there cotton in these as i cant see any and noticed a few others do? Does someone have experience with this or a similar dripper and are they easy to change? Thanks in advance.

Video on building on the Tsunami RDA Please make sure if you're going to adust the coils like in the video use ceramic tipped tweezers not metal ones when firing the coils, touching them while firing with a metal tool will create a short circuit. The coiling tool kit i linked to in the previous post comes with ceramic tweezers but if you're going to buy ready made coils you can get them separately. www.fasttech.com/products/0/10021166/4709503-authentic-vapesoon-nylon-ceramic-tweezers-for-e

Excellent advice from Get Off My Cloud, especially on an ohm's checker if you are dual coiling as your resistance will half with dual coils.

As for building my own, NO, i don't fancy it as my eyes are bad but i realise to get the best out of vaping i'll really need to. I now see it as a bit of a challenge and by god do i love a challenge. Lol... I can't be doing with coiling either Stomper . . . . there are such things available on Fasttech called ready coils, essentially pre-wound wires that come in various ohms which you install into your tank or atomiser, then wick up yourself. I get on very well with them - but if you're up for the challenge then all well and good. Although they may help you initially to get to grips with the whole re-coiling business. www.fasttech.com/search?ready%20coilsThanks everyone for all your help. You're very welcome - it is ever so confusing starting out, we've all been there! I've some standard 510 ( dripping ) atomisers Stomper , a bit old hat now but they work well enough so if you fancy a couple of them to try with your mixes whilst you get yourself sorted out, then shoot me a PM with your details. I'm working all day today but I can get them off in the post to you tomorrow - with a drip tip, which you may well not have as yet. spinfuel.com/art-drip-guide-vaping/vape-resource.com/drip_vaping/vaporcloudreviews.com/beginners-guide-to-dripping/( ETA: Moved my post from elsewhere - so apologies for any duplication. Great advice as expected from Get Off My Cloud )

Wow , thanks again for all the info guys. I have one more question though. Sorry.
Perpetua has shown me where to get pre made coils , how do you decide which ones to buy?
Does it depend on the dripper or battery you're using?

Does it depend on the dripper or battery you're using? As long as your build is above the minimum resistance the mod can fire it's ok. The minimum resistance spec for non temp control on the mod you linked to is 0.1ohm. So the minimum resistance for the coil with a single coil build would be a 0.1ohm coil. For a dual coil build the minimum resistance for each coil must be 0.2ohm. The reason for that is when you use two coils the final resistance is half that of each single coil. For example if you buy 0.5ohm coils and install two the resistance of your build will be 0.25ohm. Everything else is really just down to personal preference and taste. Buy a few small packs of differing resistance coils and try out a few different builds it's really the only way you're going to find your own personal preference. One other note, when you're doing a dual coil build each coil must be the same type and resistance don't mix them.

Sometimes when i ask a question i expect to get more info i cant make any sense of but your guidance like Perpetua's is spot on . Everything is starting to make sense now. I didn't want to rush into buying equipment and end up with stuff which was useless as i stopped smoking to save money . Lol If the tank has the option to use twin coils do you have to use two or would one suffice?

Stomper You can use one or two in that dripper, you can close off the airflow to one side by turning the barrel section on the deck. Just close off the side that doesn't have a coil fitted.

And unless someone can suggest another , this is the dripper. link I use and like the Velocity rebuildable dripping atty (RDA) www.fasttech.com/products/2482500Not saying though that it is any better than that which you listed. [ETA] - (I also use a standard 510 drip tip, mouthpiece with it, which is smaller than what comes with it.... personal preference! )

Do you have a dripper for the coils and cotton to go into? Not yet Kreed . Haven't decided yet and they're cheap enough from fleabay and amazon i believe.
