Hi folks, I usually make protank coils at 1.8 ohms using .25 kanthal using a 1.5mm diameter rod, my question is could anyone advise me how many wraps I would need to achieve the same sort of ohms in an isub the internal diameter looks to be quite a bit bigger or is not possible with .25 wire.i hope this makes sense.

Try 6 wraps on a 2.5 mm rod with your 0.25 mm wire ... Depending on the length of the coil legs, it should give the sort of resistanceyou are after wil7985

@yinyang is close, but it is actually 5 and a half wraps wil7985. If the legs point in the same direction, you get a *half wrap*. You should try to get your head round a coil building site, such as www.steam-engine.org/coil.asp?dia=0.25&id=2.5&ll=10This is set at what you want, so you can make adjustments, and then reload from here to start again if you lose the plot.
