Do any of you lovely people have a samsung A5 ? I'm trying to get photos from phone to pc. No doubt I'm being thick but I just can't work out how to do it. I have downloaded smartswitch and apparently backed up the phone but I'm ****** if I can get photos to pc. Any ideas ?

Hi taz96. Connect your phone to the pc(pull the cable from your charger) then your phone gonna ask you to "allow" the pc to see your files on the phone and then you can see the DCMI folder on your pc(Computer ikon ) I hope it makes sense. The key is you have to "allow" I have a S7 edge and it does the same thing and basically all android phone do Let us know how it goes

taz96 does the phone show up in "my computer" when you plug it in ? If so double click it and then look for the DCIM folder - double click it and your pics should be there. then just copy and paste/ click and drag or whatever way you normally move files about. If you have a memory card in your phone they may be in there instead ... double click phone icon, double click memory card then look for the DCIM folder

However, when I search DCMI on pc..there is a video from my phone Thanks to all for trying to help me. My Sony Xperia T (Android) does similar...no notification that the PC recognises that its connected via USB cable. Whereas my Windows phone throws up its DCIM folder immediately. Two things: 1. The Xperia has its own Sony file manager software which connects the phone and updates etc. The Samsung should have similar? 2. The Xperia is shown in the Windows folder structure for drives (C: D: E: and all that). The Samsung should be there on your PC in that folder/drive list. Look carefully through the list in Windows File Explorer..down the left side Try that...

It can be the upload site that spins it, there is a setting on the page to not resize(I set to to 640 by 480) or you can put them in paint or photo gallery and rotate then reupload
