And now for a totally dumb question If you mix a 10ml sample, will it steep quicker for testing than mixing a 30ml or 50ml sample? So you don't mix, wait a month, mix again, wait month, mix curse, buy a car tyre so you can kick it and jump up and down, give up

time is relative... until we learn how to time travel the steeping time will remain constant irrespective of volume (apart from a couple of extra seconds "pouring time" it takes to mix 30ml vs 10 ml)...

quote, ( PS. Please don't mix up a 100ml of anything until you've made a smaller sample first, please. ) end quote Plus one on that ! When I try a new mix I normally make up three 5ml samples at different strengths first, and see which one I prefer. So, for example I bought Red Energy flavour (red bull) and mixed 5%, 10% and 15% flavour (at 70vg 30pg base mix) I normally leave them one month before trying them (or sometimes 3 weeks!) As soon as I tasted them I knew I needed less than 15% and more than 10%....so next batch was a 10ml bottle at 13%.....and that is how its stayed, perfect for my taste and I didn't waste a heap of flavour and base mix finding out. I've also got a milk frothier thing.....and that sits in the cupboard looking nice !! I can't tell any difference using that or just shaking the bottle now and again, they both taste the same after a month. (and to be honest I don't even shake the bottle hard now....just a gentle shake and leave it a month, job done.) Regards Dave.

Start off slow - single flavour mix start at a low flavour % and slowly work up Not all flavourings need time to steep many are good to go - make a mix up and the try it if you like the result dive in and fill your tank if any mix is not to your taste stick it to one side for a few days, weeks, months if you still don't like the result add menthol/give it away/add to big bottle of other failed attempts. With Any new flavour it is worth adding a few drops to a little glass of water -swill it around your mouth and spit it out this will give some clues of how it might taste when you make a mix

Those milk frothers are brilliant Not sure if Alsatian nose will add extra flavour Luckily she never licked it
Certainly add extra air to mix when your mixing

You must have a better frother than me then, mine barely turns when inserted in a 70VG/PG30 mix, I'm a firm believer in shaking the hell out of them, good exercise too I suppose I'm different to most people (I get told that a lot), but I started mixing by buying a shedload of concentrates (and having a few donated to me as well) and then (apart from Red Astaire) making up my own recipes from the stash, luckily I haven't had one that was bad enough to bin, and 3 of my first recipes are still mixed on a regular basis 2 years on.

Next dumb question I got a few bottles of 1 quid concentrates OneOnOne flavours Chocolate milk Strawberry milk Vanilla pudding Rice pudding (smells proper yummy in the bottle) But they don't have the mixing percentages or steep times on them Is there a central place to find the recommended mixing? I'm just waiting on my nic mix now

Nope, this is where that art begins...
I suggest you mix a couple of 5ml batches at your preferred nic strength with 5 / 10 / 15 % flavoring and give them a couple of weeks to steep then start sampling to see which is best and work from there (10% might be too little and 15% too much, so opt for 12/13% for the next batch).
It's a process of continuning refinement. I still tweak my favorites slightly and I'm making 300ml batches!

I always taste a few drops of neat concentrate Lee . . . . just to see how strong/weak they appear to me and make my decision on ratios from there. As an average then I guess 20% is a percentage that works for my tastes - but I do also mix at 15% and 30% depending! Or, you could try adding a few drops to a little glass of water - swoosh it around your mouth this will give some indication of how it might taste when mixed. Looking at the flavours you've bought, then I'd give them a couple of weeks at least to steep . . . . .

I forgot that I never knew I needed a dripper for testing steeping liquid As luck had it, barbers to the right of my parking space today and vape shop to the left Ecig Wizard have The Unity Dripper in their clearance part for £10 reduced from £24.98 None in stock in my local shop, so they did an ex display one for £8.50 www.ecigwizard.com/the-unity-dripper.htmlNice little drippers with a decent juice well And no month waiting for a parcel from China Just a month waiting on my custard to steep
