Coils always spit when first inserted dunpuffin; with new wire, it vapourises the juice so readily that some of it explodes before it is fully vapourised and pops, spits and crackles. As the coils become bedded in, this will settle down as the surface of the wire becomes coated with caramelised juice, until the taste is so burnt that you will know it's time to change coil. Hope this helps to understand why you are experiencing what you are

Just an update on this - went for the 0.5 coils on the Cool Fire, and have just taken delivery of a Cool Fire Plus (and another iSub-G tank) so I can use the 0.2 coils I bought (I know I know, any excuse!). So far, all is working as intended, and I'm very happy - now 7 weeks off the stinkies with no intention of ever picking one up again! Also down to 3 or 6mg juice (from 18mg) and all is well. Had a huge spending spree on juice and now have enough to last me until Christmas and beyond. Life is good!

With the ladies coolfire 4 plus if you get a bit of juice in the 510 or a bad connection it can read the ohms wrong and ups the voltage to compensate. This makes it act a bit wild and lively lol.
As long as it's all clean though with good connections etc then it runs sweet up to full power with a 0.2 build and nothing gets crazy hot.
