meriva wheel bearing help

gerrr just got home and its squealing like a good un
looked on the net for the bit and it looks like you get a new hub 
im confuzzled
i can change a escort mk3 rear bearing in an hour and a 4 speed clutch on one in 30 mins
can i just unbolt everything (with appropriate swearing) and then bolt this bit back on 
i hate modern cars

Squeeling isnt normal a symptom of a wheel bearing gone. You get a rumbling noise normally.

The bearing if knackered will most likely be a cassette bearing so its hub off and press the old one out and press new one in.

i was expecting it to be a press job as well but with it being a rear was not sure

Just googled it. It looks like it comes complete with hub. So its unbolt and bolt new one bk on

will also check the rear calipers ext tomoz but it was a bit hot when i got home so it needs sorting

Was it squealing just under braking?

nope but if you turned the car gently it stopped as well which is why i thought wheel bearing

Does it make a rumbling noise when driving straight?

its a mariva lol
its well insulated back there so tbh i cant hear it
all the noise comes from the fount(engine)
but ive thought it felt a little loose for a bit at the back end and you can stop the squeal by changing direction
dont help that in half deaf and like my tunes lol

Lmao ok mate.

Best thing to do is jack up each wheel and hold it at top and bottom and try and rock it to see if theres any play there. Then spin it whilst keeping a hand on the hub to see if you can feel any vibrations/rumbling. Can also listen for rumbling too

Does sound more like a brake caliper problem

ok 1 v shot wheel bearing and new disks and pads done have to do drives side soonish as well epps
am now skint
