Hey guys. my real name is Mark from Falkirk. I am a Car Detailer in my spare time which incidentally is getting less and less.  

If you don't know what car detailing is, it is in a nutshell preparing a car to a standard equally as good as when it rolled off the production line, Sometimes better. Some people will take a brand new car from the forecourt and have it detailed as even the dealers can inflict what we call buffer trails and surface scratching creating swirls marks in the paintwork due to hand washing .
This is more noticeable on black and dark cars.
Machine polishing will remove these and leave the paint like glass. 
This is usually followed with high end waxes or ceramic protection to help prevent wash damage again but if you're this serious you would wash in such a way as no more damage is done.
This is where i come in. My real passion is machine polishing and am old school so prefer wax to the modern protections. 
Most of the work i do is for people i know but my piece de resistance was my 1984 Ford Capri which took over 47 hours of machine polishing and numerous more before i got it good enough to show.

This is my friends cavalier , his 4 year old drew him a picture with a garden ornament.

This is the process of wet sanding. working your way down from 1000 grit to 3000 grit then polishing to restore the shine.

but seriously you done good job on them
I managed to turn a red corsa from an orange one(paint oxidation) back to red and I used a heat gun to get the plastics back to black, added about £500 to the value. Its v satisfying to take what peps think is a shed and turn it in to what looks like a well loved car
fave products are g3/g10 freckler and 3m hand glaze with what ever polish is handy as it don't last forever
auto glym interior shampoo is amazing on seats
mr muscle kitchen cleaner is also good on interior plastic (with a nail brush in a classic beetle with white vinyl everything was stunning)
and most important auto glym fast glass to get the smeg from vapeing off the windows

have you tried removing scratches from cd/dvd's (grand torismo on ps1 got a few sands and buffs lol)

it was anodized till bits chipped off so I sanded it lol

However, I am of the Perpetua school of thought and would be afraid to take a car that shiny out on the road.
My car gets a bung-out once a year at Mot time.
