The Riva/eGo battery is 3.7 volts. A low resistance (LR) cartomizer needs only 1.5 volts to heat the element and vaporize the e-juice. It's more efficient and heats faster than a standard cartomizer. I should have added that the cartomizers I use also have two heating elements. Those are known as "dual coil". I find the LR dual coil cartomizers to be very efficient and I prefer to use them in the cold weather.

A cartomizer has the heating element(s) and e-juice in the same cart.

A cart or cartridge holds only the e-juice and a separate heating element (atomizer) is needed to vaporize the e-juice.

I walk and vape very happily Summer . . . although on windy days it's not as satisfying somehow, as I can't see any lovely vapour . . . but then I don't have the problem of trying to light a fag in a gale or having hot ash blow back on me . . . so it's not all bad.

I'd try a Low Resistance Cartomiser maybe, the Boges have a very satisfying snap, crackle and pop, if you get the XXL size they hold more juice than the standard size, so you'd not have to top up whilst your walking . . . plus they have more throat hit than the Stardusts do, I find anyway.
