SMOK zmax help - not working

Hi guys,


I bought this from efun a few weeks ago

It arrived yesterday but it won't fire my subtank mini's,  the LED shows that it recognises the tanks at 0.6ohm but just won't fire them at all.


What could be the issue,  or does this mod not take sub-ohm coils

That mod IIRC won't fire any coil under 1.2 ohm, so I think you've called it correct amygx, it won't take sub ohm coils

I don't think it supports sub ohm vaping - the only thing I could find related to the resistance range is this:

LOR---Lower resistance indication; If the resistance is below 1.2ohm,the display will show "Low Load".

which implies that 1.2 is the lowest resistance coil it will fire.

I'm surprised it will go as low as 1.2 ohms since the max voltage is given as 6 volts and max battery output is given as 4 amps.

  Definately won't sub-ohm amygx

It's a device that's been around for a while now, way before subohm vaping was even thought of . . . . so you'll need a topper along the lines of a Protank for it to function amygx.

I'd go for a 1.8ohm ( or thereabouts ) resistance with whatever you do choose to use.
