I use a thread protector on each of my batteries, Ive found after running it through the ultra sonic that it comes up "shorting" or shows 0.14 ohms to 0.4 ohms for a 1.8 ohm coil. If I put the tank directly into the battery it reads it correctly. Do these things wear out, should I not be putting it in the ultra sonic? I just thought it was solid metal the whole way through.

If it screws onto your mod as a connection between the mod and tank, it must have positive and negative separated by an insulator ... Best leave it to completely dry after ultrasonic cleaning before using it.

Have you checked that the insulator is still in place happyloman ? ... It should be a tiny circular piece of white, black or clear material between the inner pin and outer threaded connector (looking from the underside).
