I use the vape mesh company, get the 317L ss. It's purer or something lol.
Anyway Yeh, use it all the time on the mech. The ohms don't change much, not like nickel, I've only seen maybe 0.01/2 difference on mine. Checked it on one of my dna mods incase anyone was wondering.
Next on my list is nichrome 90

The difference in resistance is enough to cause a qutie significant power drop, it is in the safe direction for the batteries: more res = fewer amps & lower power so nothing to worry about as long as you base everything on the cold resistance with fixed voltage and mech mods.
317 will raise 20% from room temp to 450 F, 316 raises 18.7%, both enough to give you a about 17% power decrease when they get hot on fixed voltage mods, Kanthal A1 would only change 0.04%. Not a bad thing at all and I think that is one of the reasons people like SS. You can get even more of the effect with SS430, it would raise 29.3% so dropping your 80 W vape from may earlier example to just below 62 W once hot.
TCRs if you want to check the maths A1 0.000005 316 0.000880 318 0.000940 430 0.001380 Ni 0.006410

djs my 27awg arrived this morning. 9 wraps at 2.5mm on the derringer (thatll be no legs then) came in at .7 ohms. Every day maths says 11 wraps at 2.5mm will give you 0.8ohms . (EDIT: Steam engine says 9 wraps at 3mm = 0.8.) PM me and Ill send you some as I appear to have ordered 25M of the stuff and Ill never use it all.
