dunpuffin 30% flavour does seem a touch high but who knows, some like/need a stronger flavour than others. Is it your own recipe or one you have found online somewhere ?

dunpuffin - Wow! Sounds like sweet sugar heaven :-) I like stronger flavours myself but have found with my, very limited, DIY mixing that high concentrate doesn't always mean better flavour. I've mixed custards, for example, at 25% and 6% but currently personally prefer the lower end. I think the experience mixers (not me!) enjoy the trial and error elements of mixing - I find that really frustrating

You don't have to make up the 30% of PG with concentrates though. If you want to stick to a 30pg/70vg ratio you can always add some standalone PG into the mix so, if your flavour percentage came to 25% then 5% of PG would make up the difference. Different flavours and in particular different brands of flavour concentrates can vary greatly in there potency.
I haven't used any of those particular concentrates but you may get a better answer from others who have. Perpetua maybe ? As she has tried a lot of concentrates and also likes quite a high strength of flavour.

As it's nic free, you can easily add extra diluent (plain PG and/or VG) if the overall flavour is too strong. I haven't used those flavours so I'm not sure how equal amounts of them will combine/turn out ... but I guess you'll find out!

Next time you could try a few 10ml mixes with different percentages to try and work out what works and what doesn't. There are lots of great recipes out there on the internet to get you going and some crackers on this very site in the mixology section here

As mentioned above, if it turns out to be too sickly sweet with that fairly high amount of concentrate (!), you can always add PG or VG to bulk out the volume and lower the percentage of flavouring. With those flavours it will probably need at least a month to start maturing nicely though. I would also reiterate other comments about mixing a small amount first to check out the recipe before committing to such a large quantity. Hey ho, that's how we learn, and at least with no nic to worry about, you haven't used up valuable nic base in the recipe

As others have said it all really is subjective...for instance I mess around with super concentrates, I've just mixed up 50ml of black and mild at 5% their advice is 2.5% anyhows I have just give it a warm bath a shake and its just lovely...hope yours turns out ok

30% is indeed quite a regular/usual concentration for me to use charliehorse . . . . . especially with CCW flavours, I made their Millionaire Shortbread up at 25% and still added a dash more chocolate to it for my tastes. yeah well i have 150ml of it so i guess i will have cast iron lungs by the end of it lmao no problem and thnx for the help,i just didn't know if there were set percentages of flavour to use so went the stupid way but i can decant into 10ml and add pg to it or vg.........or maybe just leave well alone You never know - It might turn out to be great after a bit of steeping time 150ml is a lot to mix up if your experimenting with a recipe though. 150ml of something completely untried . . . . that cuts through my heart like a knife dunpuffin ! But you can always break it down into smaller bottles and tweak aspects of the flavours that you like or don't as the case may be - as there's quite alot going on in that mix which may or may not compliment each other.
