To make a 50/50 premix at 12mg/ml nic strength, they would require:



Note:  Adding flavour will dilute the nicotine content further and the PG in the 50/50 mix will rise (as flavours usually are in a PG carrier)

goodkidd As your friend will have/need nicbase, and both PG & VG, if they are fussy about strength and final PG/VG ratio in the finished eliquid, then mixing from scratch may be the way to go for them. Although if just starting out, they may find using the 'premix approach' detailed above easier.

Postmodern Smoking I have been making premixed base at 70/30 vg/pg - 12mg, but am looking to make premix at 60/40 vg/pg - 12mg. I have pg based nicotine, what do I need to make up 1500ml of 60/40 at 12mg?

Here's the results from ejuice me up goodkidd :



250ml 72mg/ml of Nicbase in PG + 350ml PG + 900ml VG = 1500ml @ 12mg/ml 40PG/60VG

** Note when you add flavour to the premix it will lower the nic strength and increase the PG in the PG/VG ratio.**

No, batteries and mods are not covered by the TPD.
Only nicotine containing liquids and atomisers.

A work colleague of mine has just realised that tpd is near & is panicking! He is going to get some premixed base so he can just add flavour ( I did try to get him to make it from scratch but isn't listening). He vapes 60/40 vg/pg & wants to know what ratio premix to get to achieve that? He uses 14% pg based concentrate, any ideas? I can just about make my own using nic, pg & vg (thanks to Postmodern Smoking ) & can't work this one out.

goodkidd : 30PG/70VG would be about right which with 14% PG flavour would bring the resultant mix to close on 40PG/60VG .... what strength nic does he vape? (The flavour will dilute that too)

This is what 12mg/ml 30PG/70VG premix would give with 14% PG Flavour, goodkidd :



i.e. 10.3 mg/ml nic, 40PG/60VG e-liquid

If using 18mg/ml 30PG/70VG premix with 14% PG Flavour, then the resultant e-liquid would be 15.5mg/ml.

So unless there is a premix for sale in between 12 and 18mg/ml, then he's either going to be vaping slightly less or slightly more nicotine than before (depending on what premix he goes for).

Thanks Postmodern Smoking I'll let him know, out of curiosity how do you change that combine nicotine levels on ejuicemeup? I've tried numerous times to do it with no joy?
