How peculiar Jim jevans . . . . my technical knowledge you could fit on a pin head, but is it worth doing a ' System Restore ' to a time before you had this issue, just to see if that makes any difference? |

Have you tried using a different browser? Probably the easiest solution without doing anything too drastic.

Chrissie Thank you for your time and patience Chrissie. I've done as you said, but alas no go. The text/message box momentarily flashes up white, but then reverts to pink/lilac. I've even gone to the extent of recovering my C-drive from my Image file. Strange how it lets me do the Quick Reply. Oh woe is me  Jim Got to admit that I'm completely stumped as to why that is happening  I agree with BrenD - try a different browser before you try anything else. I always use Mozilla Firefox - www.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/new/?v=c |

jevans try using run then copy and paste this into it Google Chrome*: %AppData%\..\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\databases\chrome-extension_hdokiejnpimakedhajhdlcegeplioahd_0\ Since I don't know which version of windows your using I will post this for run www.digitalcitizen.life/run-window-windows-7-why-use-it-anymore hopefully the info is still there, if not then I do apologise as I was not aware you were using lastpass.

Fixed it (well, my son-in-law did).
There was a random extension installed in Chrome which had a name of something like '52.3.2432' with an icon of a spanner.
Removed this extension, and all works fine now, no more IE/Edge!
