Holiday Preparation...

Am off to on hols next Tuesday - so have been preparing vaping gear:

Have mixed up 50 mls each of H2OMG, Lemon Iced Tea, Blackjack Vintage, Oba Oba and Soho - should last me for 23 days at 10ml a day (though I probably wont go through that much)

Tanks:
Spheriod Clone as a carry on - wont leak at altitude
Ubertoot - currently my go to carry around
Aromaniser V2 -and a stock spare coil 
Trusty Silo Tank -basically a Nautilus with wider airflow - plus 3 spare Nautilus coils

Mods:
2 e-leaf Picos
An Eleaf iStick 80W 5000mAh TC
A couple of spare batteries, plus charger
Kanger Dripbox, so I can get some squonking in. 

All will go in carry on luggage with the juices in a transparent plastic container

Have done some research on the current status of vaping  in the countries:
- Vietnam seems OK (very rare but not regulated)
- Laos the situation is unknown, did find someone selling franchises for Vaping Shops there (!)
- Thailand - import and sale is illegal but possession is apparently not - there also seems to be a thriving vaping forum in Thailand so I assume I'll be OK there, though there is some talk of some people having to bribe customs officials to get confiscated gear back.

If anyone has any recent experience of vaping in these countries - be interested to hear.

Also, are other people as OCD as I am in making lists and ensuring all vaping ground is covered for going away for a few weeks?

I was in Viet Nam and Thailand last year. I didn't have any problems with customs (had a bag with about 10 18650s/charger and several weeks worth of juice) Nobody took much notice of me vaping and aside from my son and me, I only saw two other vapers in the time I was away.

I'm not sure whether Thailand has clamped down a bit in the last year dagl ... but from the Grumpy Vapers (somewhat long winded) video and a quick search, it seems somewhat risky now.

I arrived today in Phuket , my mod with out battery and tank was in my suitcase, they now x-ray case on leaving and took my mod, I kept batteries and tanks

Just advised by Thailand Authority for Tourism Advice E Cig & Vape is illegal to take into Thailand (even for personal use), carries a 10 year prison sentence, or hefty fine,

 not good!

I recently used my vaping devices in the smoking room at Hong Kong airport during a transit flight. I was a bit worried as nicotine is classed as a poison in HK and only nic free liquid can be sold. Vaping device in Manila was no problem - went to a couple of vaping shops - Juan's Juices are wonderful :-)

I put all of my vaping devices in the plastic tray for x-ray (Manila and HK) to be totally transparent - they didn't bat an eyelid in security :-)

Got a few quizzical looks from the "real" smokers in Hong Kong.....although, to be fair, that was probably due to my being fat and bald and using bright yellow crutches

Thanks folks - shame, only going to Thailand for a few days at the end, so will not go through their customs until then. Unless I find some more info will just take what I can bear to lose.

beedee as far as I'm aware you can only take a total of 100ml of any form of liquid in hand luggage on any flight. Liquid in the hold cases is quite ok though, my husband brought back 10 litres of VG in a suitcase that went in the hold.

I know that all my friends who come over here can only bring me 3 x 30ml bottles of concentrates in their hand luggage which is annoying for me coz otherwise I would get them to bring me over lots more at a time!!

toots , certainly, for UK airports, the individual bottle size of liquids, creams, gels, pastes and aerosols can't exceed 100ml, BUT the total can:

If you do take liquids in your hand luggage: containers must hold no more than 100ml. containers must be in a single, transparent, resealable plastic bag, which holds no more than a litre and measures approximately 20cm x 20cm. contents must fit comfortably inside the bag so it can be sealed.

Wow, really!!!! That means I can get friends to bring me over more than a total of 100ml of concentrates then. Whoopee, that will save me £10-£12 pounds on future postage as if I want to order a number of concentrates I normally get them sent directly to me which obviously incurs international postage fees.

Well that's my understanding of the UK gov statement and info-graphic (from a UK airport).

Isn't it a tad risky in Thailand at the moment. With the King recently having croaked it and the country in a years mourning?
To be seen in Thailand openly vaping...... Just a thought.
