I think I have cocked up - I bought 2 litres of pg based nic instead of VG when I was trying to figure out how much pg and vg to buy I put my figures into the mixing calculator to work it out and hit a snag. What am I doing wrong? I can't for the life of me seem to make it work to get 70/30 vg/pg @30% flavour. If it help up to now I have been using 70/30 premixed base 6mg and dumping 30ml of one shot into it - no idea what final ratio that ends up being lol but anything in a similar range would be fine.

It's because your flavouring is at 30%..... which is all PG.
That gives you the 70/30 already.......... adding PG nic then adds more..... so you can't achieve 70/30 with 30% flavouring.

Bugger I really have messed up then ah well just had another play and can get 64/36 without adding any extra pg that'll have to do - I guess I'll be saving on PG then as I won't need to buy any after all lol ETA: actually if I drop to 5mg nic then its 65/35 and I'm working with whole numbers which will be alot easier-I can live with that.

This is what you used to make, with premix: i.e. 4.2mg/ml nic, 51PG/49VG

If you want to make the same as you did with your premix, it is still doable with PG nic: [ETA]- or play with the PG/VG ratio, remembering that you actually are used to 4.2mg/ml e-liquid

That works too - will mix up 2 batches and see what I prefer but to be honest I hadn't realised I'd inadvertently increased my pg levels when trying to flipping well decrease them I suppose theres a silver lining in that I hadn't realised I was comfortably down to 4ml nicotine and have been for a long while it also means my vapeocalypse supplies will last even longer

It could also be harsh because you're using 30% concentrate, seems a trifle high to me, recommended is 15-25% the average of mixers (who can be bothered to fill it in) is 22.5%, that would calm down the flavouring AND bring up your VG content

As long as it works for your tastes that's all that matters whether it's high, low or somewhere in the middle.

Q I have vaped my Joose Juice Soft Mint at 30% pretty much from the start of vaping when buying it ready mixed with the 20% stronger option, I also have a tank of Joose Juice Menthol which is considered very strong at their regular strength and that too I always had 20% stronger - I now mix both at 30% I also mix my NomNomz at 30% and buy Cornish Vapes Moms Milk Special Reserve which is their stronger ratio high VG ready made. I do like strong flavours in most things. What I cannot vape at all though is anything citrus even at low ratios for some reason that goes straight to my sinuses and makes my eyes water, shame really as I like citrus flavours to eat/drink.
