Well as most of you know I was happily chugging away on my 510 1100mAh until the arrival of the lavatube. I thought this would be a big fantastic change and for me it has been a dissapointment. #icon_cry# the first issue I had was the dual coil tank with a chemical taste , so swapped over to a clearomiser which was ok but looks naff on the lava tube carto misers again ok but don't last me long so then when my adapter arrived I put a vision on and it seems to drain the flavour after about 20 minutes heavy use . Today I have tried a dct tank with boge carto which I punched a couple of holes in this is better but still no wow factor:( I have tried different flavours and can only seem to get any satisfaction with the volt range between 3.7 and 4 v . What the hell am I doing wrong ? Any suggestions I haven't already tried? Cause I am at the point of packing it up and putting it on the classified section and trying something else because for me there is no difference between this and my 1100mAh . Some of you will probably want to burn me at the stake for my blastfumious words but could really do with some help

at the end of the day mods are just batteries ...the lavatube is a battery that you can adjust the voltage. this doesnt mean it'll make vaping better but it does mean you can adjust it if its not working great for you it maybe that the expectation of the lavatube was hyped too much in your mind ...give it a few days and you will find that it'll have its plus points, they may not be huge but they will be there

Lovin the made up " blastfumious " haha Ok first off you need a higher resistance carto for the LT , this will allow you to alter the voltage and give you more control . With the LT if you put on an LR carto/ atty it will auto adjust it's output to suit , therefore giving you no real control of the voltage you are vaping at , it may say 4.5 or 5 volts in the window but with LR it will drop back to say 3.5 volt output to compensate for the higher resistance . I would suggest using carto's of at least 2.5 ohms to allow you more freedom , the same goes for the visions , I got 2.5 - 2.9 ohms from the group buy and they are sweet as on the LT at most voltages . Hope this helps QB

I am often just as happy with a LR carto on one of my mods.
What I do like about the LT is that you can crank ther power up a bit in the evening if you're having a drink. It stays at the same voltage that you set it to until the battery gets low. You can check how charged your batteries are!
I'm sorry you're feeling disappointed Queenie (((((hugs))))

Thanks for the tips guys the cartos are lr so that makes sense the clearos are standard and they were the ones I got on with the best not sure why the visions arn't playing though because they are also standard so will get at until the group buy when I can get some more supplies. And yes probably bugged it up in my mind so disappointed with the actual real life thing ! Mmm that sounds like a story I have already told so many times before #icon_rofl#

You are quite right bee that the LT will be exactly the same as a fresh Riva if you set it at about 3.7 volts - like Gordy says they are just batteries. To me the big advantage of variable voltage though is that the LT will stay at that voltage for a long time whereas the Riva will gradually drop in voltage as it discharges. With VV you can find the level you like something best at and it will stay there for hours. The LT is fine for anything of 2 ohms and above and will happily crank up to 4 odd volts, but it won't go much above 3.5 volts with a 1.5 ohm DCT, but then neither will many other things. I'd keep plugging away with it for a bit yet and you might yet appreciate its virtues!

Thanks dave I haven't completely fallen out with it yet it's just like you say it's like the riva for me at the minute and I suppose in the long run it will save me money in batteries think I am gonna get some more cartos and visions at the group buy so will get the ones at 2.2ohm and above and get the long wicked visions . I am not one to give up so gonna keep at it

I find that I'm completely happy when I use my LT with a standard resistance boge. My fav voltage is 4.6. In my opinion the visions are not compatible with the Lava Tube. However, I'm not a huge fan of visions either. Have never tried a tank or a dual coil carto on my LT, so can't say what they are like. Just out of curiosity, have you pressed the on button 7 times? This tells you the voltage of the battery. I usually change the battery once the LT is showing 3.7v. Keep at it a bit longer queenie

With the boges, I use the condom method on the first couple of fills, then I get a cotton bud which has been cut to a sort of arrow shape
> stick it into the air hole (just a couple of mm)
> top up
> leave for a few seconds for juice to soak in
> take out cotton bud > put drip tip on.
I find the juice last longer than just plain direct dripping.

By air hole do you mean from the mouth piece end you put the cotton bud in?

Yeah, the mouth piece end.
Just don't poke the cotton bud too far in.
I got the tip from someone who posted it on here. Not sure what the thread is called tho'.
