Hi guys and gals.
It's been a while since i last posted on this forum. I decided i needed to stop coming on here as i was buying far too much gear!
I stopped smoking the coffin nails on the 5th of April 2013 and i am happy to say thanks that i still have not succumbed to the dark side once in all of that time. I am still happily vaping and i have tried all sorts of tanks and mods through the years. My most used mods and atties at the moment would be my Kayfun 5's on top of my Cuboid's, cheap and cheerful i know but they have been doing the trick for me recently. I see no need to spend hundreds of £'s on gear just to say look what i am using tbh. I have also went right off subohm tanks at the moment, sure it was fun to chuck out obscene clouds of vapour but they use far too much battery life and juice for my liking so i now mostly stick to RTA's at around 1ohm. I am on the lookout for a new mod though and was looking at the Smok Alien one but it seems they have a production shortage on them at the moment.
In my time vaping i have also tried many weird and wonderful types of juices, from cheap and cheerful to god damn expensive stuff. I have never tried mixing my own which i am now starting to think about dabbling in it a bit to see if it will work out cheaper for me say to buy concentrate of my favorite juices and mix them up myself.
i am a little confused about what will be happening in the future with regards to regulations on liquids, tanks and mods. I have heard all sorts of rumors going about so not too sure on what to believe. I have plenty of hardware so to speak but it's the liquid clampdown part that has me slightly worried.
Anyway sorry for rambling on a bit, just wanted to say hello and look forward to going through the threads and see whats what in the community nowadays.
Cheers Stu

Welcome back stu1873 i am a little confused about what will be happening in the future with regards to regulations on liquids, tanks and mods. I have heard all sorts of rumors going about so not too sure on what to believe. I have plenty of hardware so to speak but it's the liquid clampdown part that has me slightly worried. Soon to be 10ml max. bottle size and <20mg/ml e-liquid strength. Lots of forum threads on the TPD regulations. Currently, only non-compliant stocks already in retail supply chain can continue to be sold upto 19th May. If you are thinking of mixing, NOW is the time to pick up and store some 72mg/ml nicbase, while you still can. From the MHRA (who are administering the TPD in the UK): Tobacco & Related Products Directive 2016: (see part 6 re. e-cigs)

Welcome back stu1873 so much new gear about it can get out of hand very quickly. So a break away can be a good thing once in a while.

Hello & welcome back Stu The TPD regs aren't good, but could have been worse (compared to what is going on in the rest of the world

I have never tried mixing my own which i am now starting to think about dabbling in it a bit to see if it will work out cheaper for me say to buy concentrate of my favorite juices and mix them up myself. Welcome back to you stu1873. There's never been a better time for many reasons to get mixing . . . . not just because of the TPD, there's now a wonderful array of ' one shot ' concentrates that really do make DIY very straightforward. You may find Vendors that you've purchased eliquid from in the past have now released their blends in concentrate form, rather than jump through hoops that the TPD requires in order to be compliant. I will read up on the regs and on mixing in the coming days. 10ml bottles ain't going to cut it for me i think. You'll still be able to buy in volumes greater than 10ml, but it will have to be supplied in 10ml bottles at a strength no higher than 20mg . . . . it's inevitable that costs will rise of pre-made eliquid as Vendors are required ( at a cost ) to register any liquid they intend to continue selling after 20th May 2017.

I did read somewhere onepoundeliquid has already sent some juices for testing and although some flavours will be off the shelf most will still be available. They also stated the price will remain the same, which I guess saves them changing the domain name, well unless they start selling in 5ml bottles
