510 innards transplanted into the imist inner atty body..It's a perfect fit and vapes fine..Not as good as the 306 but I only have one and want that for dripping..I'll get a few 306's in due course.. The 306 has gone back to it's rightful place which is my homemade dripping adapter..I is happy..

That certainly looks different macca, but I cannot figure out what you have done, I assume the bit poking out of the battery end is the Imist inner body, but attached to a 510 what's innards? Also what is the outside bit?

That big piece is my homemade dripping atty adapter..That's what I use with the my 306 for dripping without fear of leaks..
The other one is the bottom half of the imist with a 510 atty innards fitted..

Sorry for the confusing picture peeps..Maybe these are better: 510 atty ceramic removed and debridged whilst keeping the outer SS mesh around the ceramic and then transplanted into the imist atty holder and connector. The 510 atty innards, once debridged can be easily fitted to the connector and tube holding the original imist cup and coil and they fit perfectly. This is my usual 306 dripping setup sat next to the imist on a ego battery: When I am feeling a bit brave and my torch batteries are recharging I use this Li Ion battery mod for dripping, but not very often as I am uncomfortable with it:

OK I think I get it now - like the dripshield . So do the 510 attie innards fit easier than the 306? or does this mean that once you have got the original apart either go in easily? From what you have said before getting the original coil holder apart is the most difficult bit.

Yeah taking the original imist apart was the hardest bit for me..
The 510 atty innards fit perfectly into the original imist metal tube leading me to believe that that is what the original imist is..A 510 atty in a imist tube and connector..The 306 innards are a little smaller and the ceramic cup is almost rectangular in shape and fits a little loosely but is also usable..
When I fitted the 306, I debridged it and fitted the entire atty in there with the help of a section of the cartridge that it originally comes with.
For the 510, I desoldered the original 510 atty from it's battery connector and soldered it to the imist battery connector and tube and it's a perfect match.
If anyone has some dead 510 atty's they can send to me, I can have a go at making a replaceable coil version.

It's a mad vapes body I think, you can get them then add your own switch etc. Nice job on the atty.
I'm playing with the Imist with some rather small screw threads for a self rebuild job, lol

whats that pretty mod you have in the last piccy macca? Perpetua sent me that as it was misfiring and told me to keep it. I fixed the problem and it sits there and I use it very occasionally to drip with.. I think it is a GOLDRUSH tube if I remember correctly. Edit: Yeah it is: www.ecigarette-mods.com/goldrush/

Yeah lovely looking but if you looked under the hood you'd run a 100 miles from it..
The earthing strip on the head had come away from it's moorings and twisted under the circuit board during normal screwing/unscrewing action and was sitting about 1mm away from a blob of uninsulated posi wire solder that was running from the switch to the connector..
