gill2009 I'll wait til after the New Year to book the time off and I'll start looking at flights and trains too. Have you and striker42 booked yet ? Rooms are going fast ! So...... trains not available that far ahead and the only flights are by FlyBe so definitely no flight.

I've already got Friday 4th off. No drama like the last few years! Me to Bren!  Sat up until gone midnight on a Sunday a few weeks back as our new holiday allocation came out for 2017 even though I was up at 4.45am on the Monday, booked the Friday - then couldn't sleep anyway as I was so hyped up . . . . the few hours lost sleep were worth the sacrifice though as it's been approved.  DiscoDes, how will you be fixed for 2017? We had to start booking our leave for the next financial year back in October, so that week in August was the first thing I sorted after my fortnight off for the tennis. Gamble landed, I obviously didn't know the dates or if we'd even have a VF! It'll be a bit tricky to sort, but I'll ask about the Monday when I next see my manager. It took a good ten days or so to feel human again after rushing into work the day after VF this year and I'm keen not to repeat that. |

I'll be there - barring 'him indoors' booking us our holiday?... but as its early in the month I'm hopeful it'll not clash  As per usual I'll be bringing my tent and roughing it, camping with AAEC isnt too hardcore thankfully as everyone pitches in and its a marvelous experience I'd not like to miss. You're all such lovely people! |
