We had to start booking our leave for the next financial year back in October, so that week in August was the first thing I sorted after my fortnight off for the tennis. Gamble landed, I obviously didn't know the dates or if we'd even have a VF!

It'll be a bit tricky to sort, but I'll ask about the Monday when I next see my manager. It took a good ten days or so to feel human again after rushing into work the day after VF this year and I'm keen not to repeat that.

Tell me about it Bren . . . . 2 weeks it took me to feel like I'd joined the human race again and I took the Monday off, which I'll be doing again this year.

For obvious reasons!


Just need to track down Des now to see what his plans are for next year, otherwise I'll suss out what the trains are like from where I am.

You may well have a point striker42 . . . . as not a drop of alcohol has passed my lips since that glorious vodka ( and ice cream ) fueled weekend in August.

Not sure if OH has too much to drink, but she says yes to attending Vapefest as soon as i mentioned it. I might be down to 0% nic by then, but still on 40% alcohol. Not managed to cut down on that one yet.

FYI, 2017 camping details are out.

Camping 2017
We still have to ticket the camping, and we wanted to make it cheaper.
In order to do so, we've made the camping 2 for 1. One ticket will cover 2 people. That makes camping per person, per day £3. Including all the costs Ticket Factory impose. We think that's damn good value

Correct Bob, the Sydney is only a 10 minute stroll or a 1 hour stagger (depending on which direction you are going) from the showground. Comfortable, clean, good breakfast and the fire alarm works.

Just looked at the Camping rules, and noticed it says

Glasses and glass bottles are not permitted. Plastic only please.

How does that work for beer bottles? Did anyone pay any attention to that rule?
