Not got one myself but heard very good things about them. Basically run android so you can run apps in it as well. If you do get one download the app terrarium TV. Amazing app for free movies and TV programmes.

Mates at work say they use something called kodi or something like that god knows what it is tho only I'm not good with tech stuff at all lol.

I just use a Google Chromecast
I get everything free on my fone and just stream onto the TV through kodi or the Android player if the format works

This might help you. It can also be installed on a normal pc, so you get an idea of what it can do, before you take the leap into android boxes etc

Its how I got into using kodi, started with an old laptop connected to the tv, then tried android and back to a dedicated pc

minime this is the one I bought from eBay. You just plug it into A spare HDMI socket on your telly and power it from a socket.

The seller will provide excellent phone support to if you need any help setting it up.

Then just follow the on screen instructions, it pretty much sets itself up. The advantage of buying this version is it already comes with Kodi and the ability to watch everything you may want to watch for free, live football for example

Think of kodi as just another channel (with loads of channels within).

If you buy direct from Amazon it won't come with kodi and you'd need to add that yourself which may be a little more challenging for you given what you've said.

I suspect the eBay seller buys them from Amazon, configures them with Kodi then sells them on with a mark up.
