All you vape mail addicts remember to tip your overworked postie at this seasonal time for all his/her hard work on your behalf ... You know it is the nice thing to do and it can make all the difference between a red card and your long awaited shinny being left with a friendly neighbour.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours.
Bill

No chance I've had three parcels go missing this year and our sorting office must be the worst in the country for getting things delivered

Already done @yinyang
I was the local village Postie many moons ago, back in the days when "transport" was a bicycle.
Christmas Mail was hellish and I was often still sorting that mail until after I was normally finished my delivering for the day.

Good man lobeydosser jtc sorry to hear of your bad experiences but I am happy to say that in almost 4 years of receiving vape mail I have never had a lost package and only once received a red card when my postie was unable to find any of my neighbours at home. It should also be pointed out that your local postie is only the last link in a long chain so any cock ups are not necessarily his/her fault.

Mine are going to be on strike during this coming week . . . . . www.gazetteseries.co.uk/news/14973700.Post_Office_branches_in_Yate_set_to_be_affected_by_union_strike_action_this_week/?ref=mr&lp=2( Wonder how it would go down if supermarket workers did similar in protest at long hours and poor pay - not well with the paying public I'd think at this time of year! ) That said, I've a bottle of Prosecco for my regular ( wonderful ) Post Lady . . . . and a box of nice choccie bics for her stand in, who has taken on the round whilst she is doing nights over the festive period as between them I receive excellent, above the call of duty service from them both.

Actually I wish supermarket workers would strike as it's disgusting that these companies make billions and pay such poor wages. Then what really winds me up is that we then subsidise these companies by paying family tax credits from our wages to the poorer families. It's a bloody joke and it's about time employers paid properly. Anyone that strikes for acceptable money has my backing

jtc - Well said, Sir. As a quick aside, a friend pointed out to me something about the Southern Railways strike. Appreciate the number of families and workers who are being hit as employees and customers but Southern Railways are still making profits of a 'mere' 100 million Pounds a year...... It's all about keeping the shareholders happy and profits high......

Good Lord, what was intended as a festive reminder and my personal good wishes to all of you, appears to have become a thread worthy of the politics and religion board. I shouldn't have bothered.
