Disaster

Sounds dramatic but thats what it is a disaster. I have a litre of vanilla custard juice that just doesn't taste right. Sharp and bitter with none of the syrupy sweetness of a well steeped custard.
For the last two months none of my VC mixes have tasted right I've actually been preparing an eulogy for my vanilla taste buds and miserably vaping straight menthol.

I've blamed it on everything else, but whilst sorting out some stuff for my niece and her partner who have just started mixing their own I just realised that  I used TPA sucralose sweetener instead of ethyl maltol.

However do have 10ml of TPA cotton candy......oh well that will be another two months in the steeping drawer

From my own experience, the best thing I have found to add to the Vanilla Custard e-juice is toilet water.

Preferably just before I flush it away!!!!!!

haha, not into VC I take it.
the sewer rats had half a litre of 12 month vintage Kreeds last week, more pepper sauce than vanilla custard.

Yup.

One of my buys that I gave away.

It leaves my mouth like the bottom of a bird cage that is filled with cotton wool.

Still, it saved me buying any other cream based concentrates. They don't work for me.

I prefer fruit juice type e-juices. But good luck with yours.

SteveF - eeeeeek a whole litre of custard down the drain!! That's gutting

I feel your pain - I don't like Sweetner in custards - just makes it really fasely over sweet to me. Same with dairy based creams like TPA Sweet Cream - far to condensed milk tasting

I'm still trying - after 2 and a half yrs of mixing - to create my own perfect custard that I like as much as a certain vendor custard. I forced myself to stop aquiring the said vendor custard a few months back in the hopes I'd stop comparing every variation of my own to it. Hasn't happened! I still crave it and think I always will...

For about a week before xmas none of my custards/vanilla mixes were tasting right - like you I thought I'd burned out my vanilla taste buds. Nope - I was coming down with a really horrible illness instead and have barely made it out of bed since boxing day!!

spacey should be able to rescue the litre, it only had 0.5% sweetener so hopefully 1%EM and another couple of months will be all that is needed.
the Kreeds Draino was down a nicotine issue from last year. I bought from a few different suppliers when I started mixing and this would have been a cheapo deal I picked up before using Darkstar. @ 15mg it had a good dose of on the way out nic.

Strangely enough I haven't found a ready mixed VC that I like and have worked out a few of the DIY recipes that float my boat.

And yrs I've had a lingering bug thanks to the Xmas influx of temps at work, happens every year when an extra 100 people bring new coughs and colds in.
Menthol for the foreseeable although raspberry seems to be quite a welcome addition....which is odd because I've barely touched fruit flavours for at least 12 months.

Hahaha - yep - even I'm considering menthol (Normally can't stand it) to try and blast my head and sinus's apart!!
