I just used that code for a pico squeeze and it upped the price by £2.00. May because it was on offer.

Yeah GB is messed up like that.
If for example you have an item which is listed in a sale with 20% off and then you try and use a 10% off discount code instead of just flashing a message saying codes don't work on sale items it changes that sale items price back to it's full listed price and then applies the 10% off code to it making it more expensive than it would be without using the code.
