Hello helpful people :-) I have a bit of a random question 😕 I apologise. I'm new. Will probably be cluttering up the forum with lots of out there questions!
Ok how do you know that you are actually getting what it states on the bottle???
To clarify I have been using 50/50 18mg in a bid to stop smoking. So I ordered some "craft" liquid online ( I'll be posting on the retailer bit soon lol).
Since using it I've had to refill my thingy at least 3 times a day and my need of a cig had got way worse.
I did query with the merchant but they gave me short shrift and wouldn't answer my questions 😩

It's not a random question lesley1Giving you short shrift is not very nice... I mean it's not like you are the first person to question the accuracy of nicotine strength. Liquids do sometimes come out wrong. People do make mistakes and so do more automated processes. Now and again I find I have unexpected cravings or general 'low nic' issues. I just then vape some stronger liquid at higher power to get over the bump.

So, probably the easiest way is to stick to recommended suppliers.

If they had a review option on the site I would leave them something suitably short!!

That's what the forum is for, if you ask there are probably lots of other people wondering, there is no need to apologise we all started knowing nothing about vaping. These guys answered well so I have nothing to add other than keep the questions coming usually somebody(s) are happy to help.

From my own experience, a craving for a cigarette meant my Nic Level was too low.
In my case I did this on purpose, cutting down from my usual 24mg to 22mg in a bid to reduce the strength gradually. Within a few days I was craving ciggies and even dreaming about them. Went back to the 24mg and have never had any thoughts of Ciggies or cutting down Nic Strength since.

You could take a gander at the mixing section on the forum. It's very easy to make your own liquid and you'll know for sure the nicotine levels are right. The tricky part is playing with flavours if you are mixing several flavours together, the rest is a doddle. Making your own is a money saver too.
Or you could just buy 0mg juice ready made from a retailer and add your own nicotine.

As Get Off My Cloud says, making your own is a great way to achieve the levels you are after

lesley1 remember the forum's motto - the only stoopid question is the one you don't ask To explain - Never feel that a question is too dumb, stupid or whatever, ask anything and everything and answers will be forthcoming....this forum prides itself on being the friendliest, most helpful forum out there, so feel free and ask anything

And how do you figure out how much to add? Maths is not my forte :-(

Maths is not my forte :-( The difficulty there is that you are unsure how much nicotine that you are starting with, to know how much to add to take it to around 18mg/ml. You could experiment though adding a little at a time and up to say a maximum of 1ml (of 72mg/ml nicotine) per 10ml of eliquid. ( If it was 18mg/ml adding 1ml of 72mg/ml would take it to 22.9mg/ml)

Hi Lesley
thanks to the TPD (tobacco product directive) all liquids as of May 17th this year will have had to go through stringent tests to be legally sold in the UK (of course we know there will still be plenty of dodgy daves selling on street corners, ebay, facebook until they have their sites taken down. as of May 10ml bottles will be the maximum size you can buy unless they are zero nicotine so things will get more controlled. also tanks will be limited to a max size of 2ml and the max nic strength available will be 20mg.
youve not mentioned what sort of kit you are using. is it a pen type or box mod and tank.
ive never heard of craft liqud so cant advise on that but there are plenty of sites that members can recommend. what sorts of flavors are you into?
