Afternoon each, Apologies - another mixing frustration I've mixed up at 10% and 15% and at 70% PG and 70% VG the fabled "Lucky shot" concentrate. The good news - It smells/smelt absolutely lovely in the concentrate bottle and perhaps even better after mixing it. Dutifully put it away in the steep cupboard - advice for steeping ranged between a minimum of 3 and 10 days...... After day 11, I have tried both high PG and high VG....aaaaaandddd....they both taste of absolutely s*d all..... When I say s*d all I mean absolutely nothing (new coils and clean tanks in a Nautilus and a Cleito) I'm REALLY frustrated with this one..... Any ideas/solutions/experience of the same concentrate most welcome & appreciated.......

Yes I'd put it away and forget about it for another month

I've mixed up at 10% and 15% and at 70% PG and 70% VG the fabled "Lucky shot" concentrate. Apparently the creator prefers this at 20% so I read on one of the groups . . . . . and it's highly probable a good steep is also involved.

Perpetua - Interestingly, I put a slightly quizzical comment on the Chef's FB page and got an instant reply (from the owner of OSDIY in the US) basically saying "As we own OSDIY and have used the flavours for 5 years, we recommend another sample with zero nic and trying again after 3 days" Hmmmmmm...................

Interesting indeed ghostrider1971 . . . . and somewhat at odds with what I read in the same group. Do you ever test the neat concentrates to see how they appear to your taste buds? Largely I ignore recommended ratios, or if there's a range - then without fail I go to the top end. And anything with custard in, it's a 3 month minimum steep for me.

Perpetua - I think what is really confusing me is that the sniff n lick tests were both very positive. Actually seemed pretty potent.... As was the post-mix sniff test. It just seems to me that the flavour "disappeared" after a few days.... Very strange

I think we've all had that experience at some point ghostrider1971, high hopes and expectations dashed! A good steep might fix it for you, or it might not . . . . I've bought concentrates that others rave about, smell fabulous - yet for me when vaping, they're just ok and I don't doubt others would feel the same over flavours I think are lovely! No rhyme or reason with how we perceive a flavour.

Believe me ghostrider1971 flavours can take 2 to 3 months to steep properly. I've had/have juices that change dramatically after like 2 months and one of the caramel recipes is like that. I would suggest that you you do not give up on the mix you have until you've had it at least 3 months. I know it's frustrating but that's the way it is, and sometimes worth the wait

So there's hope for that DIY mix of Colonels Custard I've had brewing for 18 months?
