To be quite honest I have pretty much abandoned coil building and rewicking after I started using subtanks and isubs as the coils last ages and aren't that expensive, however thats also now landed me with a problem - having started doing more mixing and having recently bought a whole load of juice in various sales etc. I'm now reluctant to "waste" a stock coil so am having to wait until replacing a coil (which are lasting 3 - 4 weeks!) before trying new flavours. I do have a very nice crown rba which I could use but I'm not terribly efficient with dripping, I've got a nasty habit of flooding the buggers and ending up with juice through the air holes either that or I vape too long between re wetting and scorch the wicks. If I could find a replacement for the old 306's I'd be delighted but that seems to be like looking for the holy grail. So I'm debating about buying a cheap squonk mod - I kinda fancy trying squonking but don't realistically think it'll suit my needs on a daily regular vape basis but if it could fulfil a "testing" function that would make more of a justification for getting one. However if I'm going to end up flooding or scorching then I may as well save myself the money and stick with my crown rba. Do people use squonkers for juice testing? & can you flood the deck?

Personally I just rewick my rta which doesn't seem to take any longer than rewicking an rda tbh. Then if it's good I just fill the tank. If not I just wash and rewick again

Ohh I think I love you!!! I have been looking for those for aaaaages!!! You are welcome. And there I was thinking me and Phoenixflame (Julie) were the only dinosaurs that still used real old school stuff. I know from the LSE vape meets that Julie is a big fan of the ones from Vapingthings. I just prefer the Ciscos. Either way the're both great.

Well...a squonker uses a dripper anyway doesnt it. So it doesnt matter as both uses drippers. Id go for just a dripper. But also you do need a pico squeeze in your life so its definatley best to go and buy one.

Squonking is still like using a tank as you have a bottle filled with juice. Better off just getting a cheap dripper and using it on a regular mod. That way you just need to drip a little bit and can change out the wicks quickly to try a new flavour. Highly recommend squonking though

I made up a 30ml batch of juice without any flavours in it, I put just a little in a tank or a dripper between flavours and vape it. Works for me.

www.fasttech.com/p/1395707These are what I use for tasting juice:- One vertical coil & a tiny roll of mesh. This gives about 3 tokes before You have to re-drip. Changing flavours is simple; just burn off what's left on the wick/coil & drip the new flavour. I'll also be drilling one out for conversion to B/F. A squonker for testing/tasting seems a bit barking....a Squeeze holds 6ml. ....too much for testing. Drip for testing & then fill the squonk bottle wiv the 'good stuff'!
