Seems to be the luck of the draw with them striker42 some people have no problems with the paint at all and others look like they've been dipped in acid after two days of light use. My g priv is still immaculate but I do baby my stuff and I've only had it about two weeks

The Lada paint job is the only reason I've never bought an Alien. Still have a notion for one, but when I see pics of some at two weeks old, it makes me cringe.

Yeah it put me off too but there's peeps on here with about 126 of them ( I'm looking at you blakey and marksixysix ) haha if they release a plain unpainted one I'd definitely be in.

Ive knocked ten bells of sht out of mine in the time ive had it and it still looks new. I must be lucky??

I try to treat mine well and the home use ones are still perfect.

I use the black one for out and about and it's showing flaking around the bottom edges and I have some scratches on the screen from where I left my keys in the same pocket

Not the best finish on these regarding wear and tear but would still use a battered one no problem.
I would also pay a bit more for one with a more durable finish or as said, a nice unpainted stainless steel version and a real glass display

I bought a grey version from ECig One and the paint work has been spot on despite regular use. Mind you it was purchased a month or so after the initial release

Have to agree marksixysix, I wouldn't mind paying a few quid extra for a mod if the finish was more durable.

My Smok Alien toasted itself. Main board fried I have tried numerous times to contact them and I get no response. Don't buy anything made by them as they are not interested when it goes wrong, even if under warranty.

I like the look of them but really only use dna devices nowadays simply for the reliability of them.
