Mother (filling in crossword): "Like a wolf".
Me: Lupine.
Father: Charming.
Mother: Eh?
Father: Charming.
Mother: It's lupine.
Father: Oh. I thought that was something to do with wolves.
Mother: That's what I said, "like a wolf".
Father: Ah. I thought you said "likeable".
Mother: Well, that would be "bovine".
Father: Eh?
Me: No, not "like a bull". "Likeable".
Father: Eh?
Mother: Eh?
Me: NOT LIKE A BULL! LIKEABLE!
Father: Charming.
Mother: Bovine.
Me: Christ on a bike!
