Like many on here, I freeze my Nic Base by decanting it into 100ml Ampura brown glass bottles.
These look quite robust when not frozen, but once they have been in the freezer for any length of time, on removing them to use, the outside of the glass is very slippy and the glass itself is very fragile.
Today, on removing some Nic Base from the freezer, the bottle slipped out my hand and completely smashed on the shed floor. I lost 100ml of Nic Base or 3 months worth of vaping. As the Missus says, "Just one of those things".
Okay at this time, but whether I will be quite so philosophical 10 years down the road when I am scrabbling around looking for Nic Base, remains to be seen.

The thing is that I have dropped these bottles before on the shed floor and they just bounced with no obvious damage. But this time the point of contact just caved completely in, leaving a hole about an inch across.
I can only put it down to the fact that the bottle was excessively cold, as were the contents.
From now on I will be lifting these bottles from the freezer and immediately laying them on a pad of tissue paper to thaw out before I handle them.

As a follow-up to my Butterfingers episode of yesterday, I was in such a hurry to save, if any, the spilled Nic Base, that I forgot the cardinal rule about donning rubber gloves before handling Nic Base. As a consequence of mopping it up without protection, I had a hellish night followed by a very lousy day today and it is only now, some 36 hours after the incident, that I am beginning to feel normal again. I have hardly vaped at all today and it was only at dinner time this evening that I could face eating anything. I probably have enough nicotine in my blood system to do me the rest of the week.

Are you sure that it isn't more to do with your mourning your nicotine base loss lobeydosser ? (The elimination half life of nicotine is usually 1-2 hours, although cotinine, a byproduct, is much longer)
