Maybe people will switch to squonking. The atty will meet the TPD rules, but there is no rule on the size of the bottle beneath. So we may see a surge of new squonkers. (Is that a word )

So after the 2 weeks. Shops are not allowed to sell a tank bigger than 2m.? Just wanted a clear picture as I'm hearing all different stories.

Tanks, nicotine containing liquids, replacement atomiser heads, etc. also need notified under the TPD process to the MHRA; so not all items currently available in the UK/EU will continue to be on the market... even if <2ml, and similar TPD criteria is met. Future products also need notified 6 months in advance of intended sale, iirc. The MHRA approval process also appears to be a bit of a mess, from what I can gather.

There trying to get me back on the fags.😀 I don't build so even if I buy some extra tanks I won't be able to buy the coils to go in them. I can't get my welsh custard no more have to mix my own looks like I will have to build my own coils now. I'm gonna have to go part time to do all this stuff to vape.😂

Oh dear! Once again I need guidance. What is ECID? Jim Apologies Jim... I think it stands for Electronic Cigarette IDentifier, it's basically the reference number that the Medical & Healthcare Regulatory Agency (MHRA) applies to e-cig products submitted to it under the the Tobacco and Related Products Directive (TRPD). [ETA] Note: Having an product ECID doesn't mean that the product is approved, only that it has been submitted. .... Yes, it's all a bit of a mess!

How likely is it we won't be able to get tanks & coils from China? I must admit I haven't stocked up on tanks and coils (I have a decent stock for current use but I restock coils as I get low and I have zero desire to go back to recoiling!)

There's a link on THIS page for submitted products, many are still under review! (I haven't waded my way through it to see what hardware that has been submitted). How likely is it we won't be able to get tanks & coils from China? I suspect that is a possibility snow

Aspires new cleito EXO tank Fully tpd compliant comes with new coils that are a bigger diameter......however the tank will still accept the old cleito coils so a TPD compliant tank which when old coils used will take 3.5ml.....The mind boggles

...at least for non-savvy vapers. By definition, sub-ohming requires large tanks and large volumes of dilute juice. Those who aren't paying attention and who do not know how to mix their own juice are going to get caught out, methinks. I'm probably not the first to say this, it just occurred to me watching the pre-TPD sales and seeing not only tanks going for pennies, but the coils that fit them too. I've never been convinced by sub-ohming myself and they are often the ones blowing large clouds of vapour in public that give the rest of us a bad name. That said, I'm pretty much live and let live, so I take no pleasure in its demise. I agree. Now.. where are these cheap coils? I'm up for some of that. There is one thing you have missed though. There are no laws against large bottles of zero nicotine. I can see a certain segment of the market dropping some TPD nicotine into their £15.99 for 30ml premium zero nic juice. Most already have large tanks and the coils are either rebuildable or still on sale. Once they have worked that out, of course.... If I was silly enough (which I am not) to vape 15ml of £16 juice per day, nothing much will change if I am prepared to put 2 and 2 together.

Personally, I only buy RTA's as I prefer to build my own coils. On the other hand, Mrs Striker now only uses two Aspire Plato's with Aspire 1.6 ohm coils. Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can buy said coils ? Wholesale coils have them @ £6:99 for a pack of five but don't know anything about the vendor or if that is a fair price.
