Been vaping 3 years or so now. Very happy and settled using Aspire Triton 2 with clapton 0.5ohm coil at 40W
As the Triton 2 is not TPD compliant the coils appear to no longer be available. Is this likely to be the case? Surely there is a market for existing equipment or are we all supposed to throw old equipment away?
Any suggestions for a compliant tank that is likely to be a similar experience??
Never mixed my own juice and tbh do not really want to start. My usual juice is now out of stock at 50 or 100 ml. So what is the future? Buying hundreds of 10ml bottles and decanting them into an old 100 ml bottle ??
Stupid stupid stupid!
(Chances of this ruling being overturned post Brexit?)

You should be able to get coils post 20 May, as it is the tank that is restricted to 2ml, not the coils. Of coarse you can use anything, the restrictions are all on the supplier, not the consumer, so you can toot away on your Triton no problem. Yup you will need to buy 10ml bottles and no doubt the price will go up to pay for all the extra packaging.

It appears that some vendors believe that "All tanks, liquids, kits and coils must be tested (for emissions), notified and have the correct warning labels." Whether this is true or not, I'm unsure, as I'm a bit out of the loop these days. There's the TPD, then the UK legislation TRPD 2016 and MHRA's interpretation for implementation.

They always stop selling the coils when stuff gets a couple of years old as they have moved on to selling the latest stuff. They will be available somewhere no doubt.

I suppose it depends on how you interpret the regs. Section 2 states -
Does the coil come under "...any component...", but that would then make glass tubes, grub screws etc subject to TPD, which I can't see happening. The coil is a separate item, and theoretically could have an alternative use, so I think it's a grey area, and would need to be tested in court. Anyway I can't see HMRC stopping a shipment of coils from China. So I'm not going to worry about it.

The EU wide importers and traders will only be able to sell TPD compliant gear.

It's not a bad thing, I bought a pair of heatwave ecotanks ($8 dollars each) and the coils were $1 a pack! I have 16 packs of coils........they aren't very good tanks, but neither are they awful? I get a reliable vape from them at 20 watts and a wee bit of flooding when I first toke on them. But for the price I paid, I'll get through all the cheap coils and probably have 3 years worth of use

Could some of the coils currently on sale/clearance be because of the lack of the (stupid) cigarette style warnings ie this product may contain nicotine ect

argg you didnt mention your nicotine level, if its fairly low (3mg or 6mg) then you will be able to buy nicotine free eliquid, and then purchase a 'nicotine shot'
