HI, Just wondering I know the TPD covers "selling" tanks and liquids that don't meet the new rules but what if they don't sell them and instead offer them for free with a slight mark-up on the P&P. For example if a site was offering a tank for £5 in the sales with free P&P, couldn't they say here have the tank for free and charge £5 P&P instead Technically it wouldn't be selling. Just a thought.

I think that's unlikely. If you have a look at the lines of crime de vape site all the main atty manufacturers and some of the smaller high ends have just made scaled down versions of their atties to become TPD compliant. The rose, the Squape the Kabuki to name few all now in 2ml varieties. I also say an RTA earlier on another site that was 2ml But also came with an extension kitin the form of a longer glass tank and an extension. I'm not sure how this complies as you buy everything together but maybe if you bought a 2ml compliant tank the manufacturer could also sell standalone kits to make it bigger. Therefore the original purchase is compliant but the accessories to make it bigger don't need to be compliant as it not at RTA in itself. I've also seen kits that allowan atty to be a dripper, an RTA or a bottom feed atty spending on how you configure. I'm sure manufacturers will explore all options to maximise profit. The other options of course are just to fill up more or turn the watts dial down

Let's say they gift you a big tank and to compensate you also buy half an inch of very expensive Kanthal wire You happy, tax man happy shop happy.

Please someone with more knowledge correct me but I am under the impression that it is illegal to stock non-TPD compliant equipment and there as already been orders out about seizure of these to local B&M's this was brought up and squashed when the regulations first appeared to stop retailers selling a drip tip for £50 and get a free no compliant tank to go with it.

Retailers aren't allowed to give away non-compliant stock now that TPD is active

Yep, however "spares" e.g. a 5ml Tank, sold seperately from the 2ml, TPD compliant RTA it fits isn't covered AS LONG AS it's a seperate transaction to buy the spares

I've just done a quick search on ebay for Smok TFV12 and got hundreds of hits. So there are still big tanks on sale.
