I find spaced coils too inconsistent, so togetherness coils for me. Interesting, in my experience quite the opposite is true. I find that a contact coils can produce hotspots simply by changing or applying wick or by a shock such as knocking a mod over or dropping it Spaced coils suffer from no such issues until you use exotic Clapton's and aliens ect and then it's the wire itself that unravels so to speak. I use spaced ss coils mainly because I prefer temp control with the added bonus of using raw power should I need to without re-coiling the attie. But as everything in this game - personal preference rules and whatever works or whatever people feel most comfortable with is always the best way to go.

I never use TC. And as you say blakey, each to their own in this activity.

Just asking because i used to find thinner spaced coils a pain in the ass as like blakey said, wicking and rewicking them just pulled them all over the place. Which then gave a shite vape. The 0.4mm wire i use is so ridgid it keeps perfect for me.

Dual twisted 0.5mm kanthal in my Kylin 0.32ohms at 50w thebishman. Outstanding flavour and the cloud is not too bad for 70pg juice. But the main thing is, since the new deck arrived on Friday, it hasn't leaked a drop.

All subjective of course but I tried twisted kanthal but didn't get on with it like I do my fused clapton. It is a nice build though striker42

It spits like a cobra if you don't have enough wicking material going through the coils. I pull the wicking material through until it catches tight onto the coil then trim it.
