I know Perpy The small independent retailer is being squeezed from all directions The Sunday trading laws are going to have a big impact. I just hope that it isn't a pre cursor to permanency !

I don't call Sunday sunday. I call it Sabbath (short version) or the Lord's Day...

So it's a day of rest from the world (though I'm bad and often go online so it often turns into a day of conviction of sin).

Plenty of other things to do like scripture passages to learn, books to read, kirk (church) to go to x2...etc.etc Christian periodicals to read. Psalms (I'm a metrical psalms girl) to learn (always a psalm to learn . People to visit in hospital etc..

So generally this is my Sabbath routine

8am...get up (lie in).....one coffee and a vape. get breakfast, read bible, change for church (sabbath best)....

9am....crochet (technically forbidden as it's technically wordly work and has little soul food) or read for an hour before kirk....

10am - go to the prayer meeting at the baptist kirk or as 9am till about 10.15 (if going to the baptist kirk) - 10.30 if going to the Presbyterian church.

1pm home from church, lunch (sandwich and soup - home made) and pm nap

2pm - Lutheran hour on redeemer broadcasting (christian internet radio run from a shed in US) and more crochet (cos I have poor concentration ....ideally I'd read all pm)

3pm - reading my theology book for an hour
4-4.30pm (if going to the presbyterian church. Till 5pm if going to the baptist)...christian periodicals/psalm learning
4.30pm/5pm - tea (home made)
5.30pm/6pm depending on kirk - go to kirk
8/8.30pm - home from kirk. Feed the wee furries, bible and read till bedtime
