Strange amazon package not ordered...

Hi guys,

I have received a package from Amazon today that I didn't order - an infared thermometer.....

I've checked my Amazon account and the last order showing on their is correct - some coils I ordered and have received....

Did I read earlier this week/last week that someone received something they didn't order?

The Amazon site isn't obvious for how to contact then either

Any advice, please?

thebishman - Did you manage to contact Amazon and did they respond?

I'm obviously worried about my account being compromised.....and an infared thermometer is pretty random too

I did a few weeks ago ghostrider1971 . . . . a handbag! No charge was made on my Amazon account which was the first thing I checked.

So I hung onto it for a few weeks, waiting for Amazon to get back in contact - which they didn't.

Eventually I took it to a local charity shop.

I have nothing to substantiate that apart from us all being on this forum....

No paperwork inside - no order details....just a boxed thermometer.....

I've been getting a lot of 'your order has been successfully cancelled....' phishing mails from both amazon and eBay. Obviously I'm not clicking links but maybe related to receiving or not receiving items ...
Just a thought, probably pie in the sky idea

Yep, "Kotion Each G9000", feels like a real pile of junk and not even plugged them in. IIRC they came 2 Saturdays ago.

The amazon account that was set up in my name by someone used my name, address and phone number, but used a different email (to which amazon accidently sent me the culprits email address! Was a jargon email address) I remember vaporl HAD to have my phone number or wouldnt send me the goods Maybe a cooincidence of course.
