I recently replaced my small scissors with a pair of Fiskars, I only use them for cutting cotton wicks and they have gone blunt in less than a month. They just pull the cotton rather than cut it. Can anyone recommend a pair of good, sharp, small scissors please ?

JTC has hit the nail on the head with the serrated fishing scissors, many vapers swear by them.
I tend to use thrum scissors as they seem to give me a great swift cutting edge and I find them very easy to use. Mine were under £1 from fasttech and I've been using them for 3 years!!

Oh. Interesting. Never heard of "Braid" scissors before.
I inherited some very old "dress making" scissors from my Grandmother. They are big, solid and heavy. And sharp. Cut wicking cotton smooth and clean.

I use a pair of proper hair dressers scissors there extremely sharp to the point of if you run your fingers on the blade it WILL cut your finger but there fantastic for trimming your wick.

Not mine. They are from IKEA. Boys - what have we all learned? ... never shop at IKEA. Don't even go there, your marriage/partnership is in danger. The most exciting aspect to any visit is the ball pit and you'll soon be thrown out. Unless you like meatballs of course, which are as high quality as the scissors.
