wonder how long that will last before it brakes down or rips if you take your mod apart to clean it regularly

That isn't new the original one had heat shrink on the contact strip.

Here is the new strip.


They've added a bend on the end of the strip to improve contact with the 510 post. the small contact area is what caused sparking on the original.

They have also increased the thickness of the 510 at the point of contact which reduce the throw on the button which will decrease the possibility of the switch sticking.

did not realise that the bottom contact was in no real way held in to the box
thats a bit poopoo
add the 510 that drops to bits and the 2 doors i cant see anyone enjoying this without some serious modding

Thanks for this heads up Get Off My Cloud, it's in da basket because I think this will cure most of the problems -providing it fits, of course! Also got a LieFeng Soul S Style RDA and a Mulciber RDA both with BF pins while I was there (because I have no willpower).

Hi all

I said 'provided it fits' and it really doesn't - the battery is hard to get in and you risk damaging the wrap - which I did the first time I tried it and the damn battery started heating up (I assume due to the short the damage to the wrap created).

I did, very carefully, manage to get a battery in without incident but then the switch does not quite reach the pin without a very hard press - and it still sparks and sticks. Then the wrap on that battery got damaged on the way out.

Gladly I have some of these battery wraps on the way from Fastech:



I don't think I want to continue throwing good money after bad, so will leave this mod alone for a while - may get around to thinking about putting in a new 510 at some point, but don't have the patience with it at the moment.

What a bitch, i'd love to know what clone company is making them, can't even get the fix right.

Your welcome Get Off My Cloud, it is a pain, but it will remind me to make sure I look at the internals with a critical eye before I buy!
