We seem to have hit a snag here, theres no point in bringing tea etc if we havent got a way of heating the water. What do we want to do people ? Is it worth having another whip round to get a large kettle ? Does anyone know if any of the stalls usually sell hot drinks ? I'm pretty sure the food stalls were selling hot drinks, but at prices that would take a chunk out of anyone's shopping budget. They had all closed by 6pm last year too. I'd be happy to chip in for a kettle. Edit: First site I opened from a quick google for urns had a 10lt one for the right side of £60. I expect I could do better than that with a bit more searching. There are plenty of urns on Amazon with Prime delivery. I'm happy to sort it out if people are OK to throw a few quid my way next weekend?

Hang on, I've spare kettles, let me go check if they both work. Two would suffice? The traditional one takes a while to boil but has decent capacity and the see through one is a fast boiler so will be best, I only got a new one as you can see limescale on base.. Its no problem for me to put these in my car and bring. Both are cordless so are safer for members use. I honestly don't think we need an urn as there was never a massive queue building up for tea brewing and coffee making so a pair of kettles would do? I'm an absolute tea belly and I was always able to make a brew up immediately (and 30+ occasions!)

I'm happy to go with whatever the majority decide. The urn idea would need someone to take care of it until next year, I have little or no use for one, VF aside, and I'm not sure where I'd store it. *-SARIN-* and I will probably be offski earlier than those about on Sunday would want their hot water to disappear too. But I can leave it as late as Tuesday or Wednesday and still get one on time, so I thought I'd offer it as an option.

Ok Pepperty, we know you've got two kettles, but let's not get away from the most important item on the priority list. How much Vodka do you have for the trip ?

I've also got 3 folding camping chairs, but my great uncle (the incredible hoarder) has about 5 or more in his garage, so I can nip and collect them. We have a fair few non campers who are in need of seats during days and evenings so too many is better than not enough
and vodka? it'll be a litre (each) I'm also dwelling on those wine in a box packs - last year I ran out of the hard stuff!

I still don't know what I'm doing about alcohol, I need to make my mind up pretty quickly.
I know I won't be using the rest of those disposable flasks from last year, that didn't go well!

That's a bullet dodged, I'm looking a boxes of cider but Westons don't do Old Rosie in 10L boxes and I'm not silly enough to buy 20L of it. 12-13 pints of it over a couple of evenings, accounting for spillages and feeling generous enough to share some would've been perfect. I can only get my other ciders of choice in bottles

OK - a pack of 10 thick rubble bags now in my kettle box so tick that off and in went my two 'slankets' (extra layer plus handy for camping chair/socialising if it gets nippy later on)

It is my intention to attend the Vape Fest on the Sat afternoon. I have a fairly hefty petrol generator which I more than willing to donate to AAEC. Would the AAEC committee be interested?

We will be having electricity hooked up so we are all ok. Thank you for the kind offer though. Hope to see you there.
