I have downloaded a spreadsheet from Github for a project I am making. The original spreadsheet is Excel in German. The German part isn't the issue, or maybe it is I don't know, but when I run the macro in the spreadsheet I get a 400 error. I have also tried to open it with Libra Office and get a similar error, but: BASIC runtime error. '91' Object variable not set.
The file itself is supposed to create a formula from a set of values and convert the value to degrees Plato derived from the angle of a floating object. Basically a floating hydrometer, which I use to measure how a fermentation is going. If we have anyone good at spreadsheets who can look at the file to figure out why it is giving the error, I will email the file to you for you to look at.
Thanks

Worth a try.
Is there not a debug mode (I was sure there was in Libra at least ?) might narrow it down to a specific line/command ?
Hopefully someone can help you out. If you don't get anywhere with it I will try and take a look next week if I get the chance - though I am definately no genius with macros.
Got a link to where you got it from ?

Sounds more like you may have a corrupt file.

Downloaded it a few times Jim. As have others so not just me. All get the same error so there is a bug in the code, but that side is way beyond me.

Look at your security settings in Excel, specifically enabling macros and VBA, if you are still stuck I can probably sort it for you at the weekend.

Massive thanks to steve386 for cracking the problem. You have made a few people very happy and stopped a few heads being banged against walls, and hammers being used.
