Gooseberry fool - LEM

Evening each,

Left my Gooseberry Fool by LEM/Chef's for a full 6 weeks

Chugging away at 34.5w on an 0.6ohm coil in a Merlin...

The flavour of this concentrate is absolutely stunning - the gooseberry flavour (one of my favourites...) is absolutely spot on, the sour/sweet mix is perfect.

Almost seems like a tiny bit of pastry floating in the background.

If you've run short of air fresher, I highly recommend the scent of this one too......

I really wanted to try this as I thought it was a bit different.....it's a strong flavour and a very true flavour.

I mixed mine at the recommended 13½% 6 week steep so far and I am distinctly UNDERwhelmed

dagl - I went for 20%....I'm a strong flavour guy

I have to say, it didn't rock my world when I tried it in the LEM pack Q . . . . the flavour was pleasant enough, but far too light for my tastes.

So I'd think mixing it at 20% as ghostrider1971 has, would be a great improvement.

I have to agree, if there is a recommended % I normally start there, this one is definitely in need of a boost.
Having said that this post reminded me to try it again, I have given it a VERY fair test (3 tankfuls since last night) and it's beginning to grow on me

The recipe for this has now been released if anyone fancies giving it a whirl . . . . if you don't have Gooseberry, then Rhubarb would be a good substitute I'd think:

For those of us who prefer a bit more oomphage flavour wise, then there's always the very useful tool on ELR via the blue spanner drop down menu for tweaking ratios/percentages.
