Nitecore i2 - is it safe?

Hi

Recently purchased a Nitecore i2 (New Features) charger and it came with a very strange looking plug..see below images...







Does anyone else have one of these chargers/plugsg and is this the standard plug it comes with because to me it looks too small to even have a fuse in it 

When I use the charger the LED indicator part gets REALLY hot after about 20 minutes use and I just don't know if its safe or not as I haven't used one before.

Any info, help, tips would be useful.

I don't think I'll be using it again any time soon. Reading lots online it seems mine is fake. Plug isn't fused and authentication code is invalid on the nitecore site.

thats one of the fakes. so we now have 4 owners of fake chargers.

Pleas DO NOT USE it again.

Next day batteries are exchanging them for genuine models, all you need to do is contact them.

Throughout the past week our company has been attacked by various people online through various social media channels due to the fact that we received a limited number of inadequate nitecore i4 chargers with our September delivery from our, rest assured that we are working with all our customers to replace any less than perfect i4 chargers purchased on our site, we have spent the last 2 days filtering through our remaining nitecore i4 chargers and can confirm that every single unit is 100% authentic with the correct UK plugs, we sincerely apologise to anyone affected, its not easy running a business as successful as ours, especially when we get targeted by multiple individuals who make it their mission to bring us down, we will move on from this and continue to offer an amazing service to all our new and loyal customers, its going to take more than a few Facebook minions on a vendetta to bring us down, thank you for taking the time to read this email i hope this clears a few things up, if you think that you have received a sub standard nitecore i4 charger then please get in contact for a replacement.

We have suffered attack after attack since we launched but we shall remain the UK's number 1 18650 battery and charger store.

Looks like the Nitecore i2 is also affected from amygx 's pic (not just the i4). At least you should be able to get it replaced either by NDB or their competitors who are also offering exchange.

I wont be using it again. I've emailed them (being polite) and will wait for a reply.

Although they haven't mentioned anything about the i2 in their email about it hopefully they'll refund or replace without too much hassle.

I love how they class a componant thats potentially a massive fire risk as "less than adequate" "less than perfect"

They really dont seem to grasp the actual issue

How did you pay?
If you paid through Paypal just file a claim, you can prove the goods are counterfeit.
If you paid with a card check with your card company about a charge back procedure.

I'm generally one to give people the benefit of the doubt but these people have proven more than once they are not trustworthy.
Don't waste your time with them or returning the item if you can get your money back through one of the above ways.

all it would of taken was for NDB to put his hands up and say, yup, i made a mistake, heres a refund or a new charger and this would have been old news by now.
instead he decided to lie through his back teeth. acept he would refund the customer once fake was received and since then he has ignored the customer.
he first said he buys direct from nitecore
nitecore confirm its a defo fake and not come from them
then he accuses the customer of buying from somewhere else and having a vendeta against his company. strange that customer had receipts.
then he said he had notreceived the charger back but it was track signed for by himself.
then he has asked trust pilot to remove a post of 1 star as the poster was not his customer
and this is only the half of it. it gets worse.

you get the idea and all he is doing is digging a bigger hole for himself.

all i ask is amygx not to send the charger back as we have someone that wants to do safety tests on it as theres about 5 now brought to our attention and id hate to think there was more out there.
