What a difference a mod/atty match makes...

One of the things i tend to forget these days - as my selection is a tad more limited than it used to be - is how a particular aty can be Meh with one mod and yet work wonderfully with another. In the 'old days', on 'Ye Olde' UKV, when i'd do a text review i'd try the new aty with different mods and give recommendations about what it might work best with. But i was spending £50-100+ on new devices every month to play with.

For the last 3-4 years - i've been in 'travelling light' mode - and had to settle more for what is available and practical.

Anyway, having temporarily 'misplaced' me Smok Alien and OBS Engine Nano at a friends (since 're-discovered and in transit back to me), i only had my fall back device of the Sinuous P80 and a Cubis tank to vape on (0.5Ohm SS coil). TBH - whilst just about adequate to vape on - i was a tad underwhelmed. Not just because of the obvious difference in Vapour Production, but the whole 'Shape of the Vape' and enjoyment factors. But muddled through for the required 10 days until i got back to Ireland and my Vape Stash.

Once back, i popped the Cubis on my old and battered Pico - and Wow - what a difference a Mod Makes!

Same head/coil, same juice and (apparently) the same W's - but the 'Shape of the Vape' turned from Meh to Mmmm!

Now this might not be the case for every tank/aty available - but you might be surprised that what doesn't work with one mod - might be preferable on another (and vice versa)

I think it all comes down to the ramp up time on the mod. But i know what you mean mod to tank or should i say mod to coil match.

Good advertising blurb for mod manufacturers. Impossible to be fact though. A mod simply delivers power to the atomiser. Your pico is clearly seeing the atty differently, and you are getting more power delivered. Few of them are accurate. One mod reads different ohms to another.

My Anna has favourite "tanks" (as she calls mods) to use with different "mods" (as she calls attys). She swears that some "tanks" " fire her "mods" better.
