Actually haven't looked bel. Didn't want to do anything till the seller responded. Just thought if other people had the same experience, what did they do.

Might send them another message asking what would happen if I washed it. I mean it will have to be washed at some point.

Don't know if it will do the trick but have you actually tried brushing it, a few years ago i knitted some teddy bears for charity in a faux fur type yarn and when they were done i used the dogs brush to get rid of any loose fibres it did work great.
