Hi all,
I haven't bought a charger for a couple of years now and currently use a Nitecore D2 and Xtar SP2.
I love the SP2 and use it all the time, and the fact that it can charge at 2A is a biggy for me. I'd get another, but they seem hard to come by and the ones I've found seem way expensive to what I paid from Torchy a while ago.
I've looked at the Efest Luc S2 but it's not clear that it can charge 18650s at 2A. Some sites say yes others say only for 22650s and the like.
Nitecores are OK, but they charge quite slowly for my liking. Can anyone recommend a decent 2A charger - 18650 only is enough
Thanks.

Thanks. That looks promising. A bit more research on my part has also found the Xtar SV2 Rocket for £20 at fogstar.

I just want a charger that charges fast rather than has loads of flashy lights and dials! Does one exist?

I just want a charger that charges fast rather than has loads of flashy lights and dials! Does one exist? The Miboxer C2-6000 knocks an hour of the charging time for a fully depleted 18650 in my tests. Without cooking them despite a top charging rate of 3A. They sell them on Amazon for £33 which is more reasonable than the £50 delivered they used to be. There is an extremely detailed review at lygte-info.dk/review/Review%20Charger%20Miboxer%20C2-6000%20UK.html

I received the Xtar SV2 today. It's actually very similar to the SP2. But the display is very useful as it gives the percentage charge. I charged a couple of 25Rs in about an hour at 2A. What's useful too is that it charges NiMH as well. I've got a couple of 1300 mAH AAs charging at the moment and it seems to charge much quicker than the Nitecore D2, which I'd normally use for NiMH.
Definitely recommended if you like the SP2 or a new charger that can do both slots at 2A.
