Ha ha sorry guys n girls.
Went pretty bad last night. Spent most of the evening on poo and wee watch. He missed the puppy pads up until about 9pm.. so ecerytime we tried putting him on the pads and he eventually started going to the pads for wee's. However he doesnt seem to understand that our nice rug is NOT for pooing on.
It also seems like we are going to have problems with seperation anxiety. Ended up in our room last night as he constantly whined...yet still bloody whined every 40mins. To say im tired is an understatement.
However...apart from that...he is amazing little dog. So playful and funny. The kids adore him. Once my brain is functioning i will get some pics. Now wheres my coffee :/

Aww thebishman have you a dog crate/cage for him to have as his own along with a big cuddly toy? They normally settle better if they have their own house so to speak, Dulcie is still in hers every night and when we go out as she simply will not stop chewing my house apart, she whined once the 2nd night and that was it, hasn't whined since although whines plenty when she is out of it - LOL! I learnt the hard way yrs ago with my dogs, getting up to them and tending to their whining and bringing them upstairs to my bedroom to comfort them, they never left the bedroom after that and slept upstairs their whole lives, I decided that Dulcie wasn't allowed upstairs unless she was invited with us and so far so good although she did run up twice the other day to see what we were doing and if she could help I know the rug scenario, I bought a new luxurious one just before she came and the first thing she did was walk into the house, past the cage, onto the rug and did a massive, and I mean massive, runny crap on it, took my daughter hours to clean it off Can't wait for pics

In case that sounds mean of me to ignore a dog whining, I wouldn't ignore them if I thought there was a problem but I treat them a bit like small babies/children in that respect when they are puppies, make sure they are clean/fed/watered/comfortable/warm/dry and have had enough stimulation during the day and before bedtime and if they still whine then I know it's hard but I ignore them and they usually stop once they realise it isn't getting them any attention just like babies. Reward and heavily praise the good behaviour and just ignore the poor/bad behaviour and they soon realise that it is better to be good babies as they get lots of attention , in fact I treat my ponies like that as well come to think of it, if they mug me then they get ignored but if they are polite and well mannered then they get snuggles, scritches and treats

Yes we have a nice crate/cage with cuddly toys etc. Plus a blanket came with him with the scent of his siblings and mum. We put him in our room as he would literally whine constantly. We looked on the net for tips and decided for the first night to take crate upstairs in our room. We are going to try getting him to be in crate down stairs for sleeps today. Wish us luck! He sleeping at mo...lucky turd. Will take pics when he is up

I remember when we got our westie pup, and left her in the kitchen the first night and my mom got up in the morning to put the kettle on in her bare feet (no need to go into detail)

So I was right about the leakage problems Look on the bright side, your hands have never been so clean with all the washing they are getting. Fairy liquid will also make them feel nice and soft Wait until the cute bundle of fun starts teething My Spaniel, luckily left my personal items alone, he only ate two carpets and a telephone table And, there is no sympathy, since you have not shared pictures of the little monster

Gill, They were speechless when we surprised them! They adore him. And by the looks of it the feelings are mutual! I think kids and animals form special bonds and they are well on their way to forming one Lee... Yes this one leaks lol. But he mostly going on the the training pads. Its too cold for him to take him in garden...he shivvers like anything and whines bless him
